Happiness is fleeting. When you think you have found it... it changes. To me, happiness is peace of mind. That is tough to accomplish but one thing is for sure, financial security is very helpful.

1) Have a Plan. Like Mike Tyson said Everyone Has a Plan, Until You Get Punched in the Mouth" You might be relying on your company or some small account to take care of 20-30 years of retirement, but I can assure you, it will not.

3) Insure Your Future. Without adequate health insurance you can never have peace of mind. At any moment you could find a cancerous lump, a car rear end you, a child come down with an illness, a spouse have a heart attack. Unfortunately, I have dealt with all of those circumstances. Without complete comprehensive coverage, you can find yourself with a million dollars in bills. And that is not a joke. The hospital will come after your assets and your wages.

4) Enjoy Your Free Time. Family is most important to all of us, but we can't have peace of mind unless they are all safe. In the event that a family member is injured or sick, it is the family that tries to help pay for expenses. Your free time with your family should not have this burden hanging. Insuring that your family is safe in any event is peace of mind and fiscally responsible.

5) Use Your Money While You Can. One of the benefits of financial planning using life insurance is you can spend all of your money, tax free, while leaving huge benefits to your family when you pass.
